My book, The 5 Secrets to Living Longer, starts out by showing that demographic trends are already on your side when it comes to living longer. Scientific data proves beyond a doubt that people in the developed world are living longer than ever before, and average life expectancy is only projected to go up. The book serves as a heads up if you were only planning your  life up to a certain point. The goal posts have been moved, and it’s time to start rethinking your life if you want  to be satisfyied with your longevity.

What are The 5 Secrets?

The book outlines 5 secrets that, taken together, add up to a longer, healthier, happier and more productive life. These five secrets, which divide the book into five parts, are:

Secret #3: The Very Central Nervous System

Secret #4: The Stress Is Killing You

Secret #5: Life-Giving Love

Why Write The 5 Secrets to Living Longer?

As a doctor of chiropractic, a health and lifestyle coach, and a person with a deep interest in nutrition and stress reduction (two key factors centenarians are known to excel at) I have worked with hundreds of people and processed reams of health information to put together packages for healthy living for my patients. All this experience and knowledge comes in The 5 Secrets of Living Longer. I group the information under 5 major concepts—the 5 Secrets—and explain each concept and its implications in detail.

The book gives specific advice about nutrition, supplements, exercise, stress reduction, the role of chiropractic, the role of pharmaceuticals, and it also gives important background on our nation’s spotty health care history and why we tend to approach health from an interventionist rather than a preventive point of view. A SANER LIFE, an acronym for maximal health practices, is described in simple yet complete detail. Mental exercises for stress reduction are included.

We now know through scientific investigation what factors contribute to longer and healthier lives. This book encompasses the vital health and lifestyle information that contributes to longer life expectancies and more productive, vital and fulfilling years.
