‘The 5 Secrets to Living Longer’ -My New Manuscript on Centenarians

The 5 Secrets to Living Longer

is my finished manuscript. The book is a heads up that a) Most people today are going to live longer than they think, b) Failing to plan is planning to fail, and c) Your bonus golden years can be full of life, health, fulfillment and a youthfulness that belies the decades, depending upon our lifestyle choices today. 

According to the Okinawa Centenarian Study, there are over 80,000 centenarians—people reaching 100 years old—in the United States today. Doctor Enrique Vega concluded, at the 1st International Centenarians Conference, that by the year 2050, there may be as many as 400 million centenarians in the world!   Superannuated people are the hottest new demographic phenomenon. My interest to investigate Centenarians started with my work with Dr. Eric Plasker, the auth0r of the 100 Year Lifestyle.  My personal experiance and research tells me that most centenarians are upbeat, active, mentally sharp, witty, and they have robust social networks. Life can be wonderful at that age. 

Why Write The 5 Secrets to Living Longer?

As a doctor of Chiropractic and a health and lifestyle coach, I have an interest in proactive health care. This interest has naturally led me to the fascinating study of what people need to do to prolong their productive, satisfying and healthy years. 

In my practice, I lecture on health issues several times a week. Besides this blog, Power Hour, our  weekly radio show, and my facebook page are great resources that keep you connected with current content to keep you and your family healthy.  I lectured before 300 of my Chiropractic colleagues in New Jersey at the Chiropractic New Beginnings Conference in October of ’09 and April 2010. I love promoting the topics of chiropractic, health, and longevity.

Several audiences would be interested in this book: people interested in health matters (including nutrition and stress management), people interested in self-help, and Baby Boomers. This book performs an important service in helping people take control of their own health destinies.
