I remember learning about the Longevity Phenommina and helping people reach their Human Potential from “Dr. P” long before he decided to write ”The 100 Year Lifestyle“.  I have had the unique experience of not only being included in the process, but have been given  the opportunity to help teach thousands of people, in my communtiy and around the country, the life changing principles contained in this book.  It continues to be the “text book” that I use in my office to help people live healthier lives.

So, why did I write “The 5 Secrets to Living Longer” ?

Speaking to so many people and writing this blog has given me the ability to both expand upon this information and express my own thoughts in a unique way.  I find, especially with writing, the  more you write, the more questions you ask, the deeper you dig into  research for a deeper understanding.  Taking concepts and having personal “epiphanies” lead to having a unique perspective and create your own message.

My Grandfather

Writing about Centenarians, and celebrating, as Tom Brokaw wrote, “The Greatest Generation“, has not only allowed me to expand on what I have learned from my work with Dr. Plasker, but also allowed me to draw from my own life experience.  I am blessed to have grown up  2 doors away from my grandparents until I was 30 years old.  My grandfather was born in 1914, and gave me a life time of  stories about “what it was like” to grow up during that exciting era.  Living through the depression, serving in a World War, dressing up to go dancing, baseball games, the work, the fun… you name it.  Learning about true patriotism, sacrifice, chivalry, honor, and love.  Studying these ultimate survivors, not just to live longer, but live better.

Would you like a peak into “The 5 Secrets to Living Longer” ?

You will get a chance to look at some of the known centenarians (and supercentenarians—those who have lived more than one hundred years) in our world today. Their habits will not only tell us something about their physical state of well-being; some of the habits are mental habits or outlook and attitude issues. By looking at these issues, we will see the quality of these people’s lives, in addition to the quantities of years they have amassed and understand the secrets of their habits that helped lead to their astonishing longevity.
