Meet the “babies” in our study.  At 88 and 89, they are our first stop in learning more about healthy aging seniors.  In the weeks to come, check here to meet these great people in their 90′s and 100′s!  Our working title for both the book and documentary is 5 Secrets to Living a Long Life .  Both targeted for completion this June, I would love to here your comments and feedback on this project.

I am very much looking forward to seeing/reading this documentary once it’s completed. After having lost both sets of grandparents AND my parents at very young ages… I have learned the hard way that as the younger generation, we should listend to the stories and advice of our elders. Who better to tell us how things were in the past, advise us on the present, and teach us how we can make things better for the future.

This project is designed to do just that. Not everyone has had the opportunity to listen to the wisdom of this “Greatest Generation”. I was blessed with the opportunity to have one set of grandparents live 2 doors over. My Grandfather, who I dedicate and write about in the first chapter of the book, died when I was 30. My Grandmother, who you see in this video clip on the right, is still alive. Its a great gift to be able to go back in time, and ask questions, about what it was like 80, 90, even 100 years ago! I will keep you posted in the weeks to follow, as both of these projects will be wrapping up through the late spring and early summer.
