I can’t tell you how many times I have heard people in pain say, “I guess that’s just part of getting old, doc”, as if their symptom or ailment is part of the aging process. Is time really the cause of breakdown and disease in your body? Is it your philosophy that a clock is the only factor you have, ticking its way towards your eventual trip to the mortuary? What if I told you that time can be on your side, if you only knew how to use it?
In computers and in lifesyle, “garbage in means garbage out”
It holds true for your lifestyle. If you have neglected your body, not watched what you eat, haven’t exercised, or managed your stress, time is your enemy. As a matter of fact, time is the major factor in the decline of your health because, neglect over time leads to further breakdown, sickness, and death. According to a study done by the Mac Arthur Foundation, 70% of all sickness and disease is the result of your lifestyle. Your lifestyle is the choices you make on a daily basis that contribute to the quality of your life. What if we looked at this information from a different perspective?
Let me ask you this, what if you started making better lifestyle choices today?
What if, for the next year, you began taking care of your body? What if you had your spine and nerve system checked, started exercising, began eating healthy foods, and created strategies to better deal with your stress. If you did all of these things, wouldn’t you be healthier a year from now? Is it possible that you could even be the healthiest you have ever been?
Learning how to increase your health
If you said yes, then the theory of time being your enemy is not true. You see, time is a factor, but it doesn’t have to be the factor. Time, along with healthy lifestyle choices can be your friend. Imagine spending the rest of your life learning ways to increase your health. You can do nothing, and wait for the Grim Reaper to come knocking at your door, or spend the rest of your life pursuing the quality of life that you deserve.
